Every so often I see an article of clothing that I really, really, really want. There is no other way to express it. Sometimes, but not always, the article in question is really, really, really, expensive. Most of the time I’m cool with something being a tad out of my price range cause I know that I will re-create the outfit in my own way. But sometimes…There are items that take my breath away and make me consider selling coke. Before I do that however, I remind myself that haute couture cannot exist without street fashion and vise versa. I prefer getting inspired by the piece and creating a look that is similar instead of buying an imitation.
Here are some pricey but pretty picks for the week

Chloe Raised Leaf Boots: $1490- GORGEOUS!!!! The detail on the leaves make these treasures a must have for Fall but they are a tad out of my price range.
The Alternative

Chinese Laundry- Definitely not the same boot but retails for about $130 and helps create the same look

This Steve Madden creation is quite different from the look I’m trying to acheive but the impecable design can still be worn over a pair of skinny jeans and makes a statement. Retails for about $150
Accessories are the key to Fall and Winter wardrobes. Actually they are the key to any wardrobe but it’s easier to get away with a plain tank top and booty shorts in the summer. Most summer accessories are of the metal jewelery variety and the heat forces the fashionista to keep them to a minimum. The Fall, however, enables accessory over-load! Yes, there is such a thing. Luckily the ladies in today’s post know how to make fall accessories work for them.

The fashion world says that scarves are out but can something that keeps your neck warm ever go out of style? P.S, People still wear them.

These hats are so back. Depending on the material, they are great for Summer and Winter

A sturdy pair of sultry boots. They make the outfit
I remembered how fashionable the library can be. Brimming with students modeling their fresh “back to school” gear, the reference library in downtown Toronto turned out to be a great place to score some street fashion pics. Thanks to the young men who contributed to today’s post! I wish you luck in all your future scholastic endeavors!

His shirt caught my attention but his hat deserves a close-up!

These three students were so sweet! I love their outfits!
